Smashing.ly Events helped plan and execute the annual Novant Health Oyster Roast. It took place at a private resident. Over 1000 guests came to the event. We had a beautiful 8000 square foot tent constructed, with rustic chandeliers throughout. A generous donor let us use their farm tables for the evening which we lined with burlap runners and flower arrangements in purples, pinks and whites. The event was a fundraiser and thank you to the generous donors helping to fund the construction of the Novant Health Heart & Vascular and Cancer Institute, the first of its kind out-patient facility for heart and cancer patients. There were lots of surprises during the evening, including fireworks, a 100 person flash mob dancing to “Ain’t no Mountain High Enough,” fun music from the band The Substitutes [a band made up largely of doctors!] and fantastic food provided by ONE Catering of the Harper’s Group of restaurants. So glad to be a part of this worthwhile, groundbreaking event! Thank you to all who attended and helped make this such a worthwhile event! Check out the pictures. The event went SMASHINGLY — Don’t you think?
